Release on October 23, 2026, the track takes the familiar world of Christmas gifts, lights, smiles and celebration and gives it a raw, urban and uncompromising Hip-Hop edge.

Behind the Christmas lights, Masquerade looks at the pressure, money, consumerism and sacrifices that can hide behind the perfect holiday image. It’s a Christmas song without the traditional formula: accessible and powerful, but with a darker message underneath.

A track made for Christmas, while still feeling like a genuine Rap/Hip-Hop record beyond the holiday season.

For X.irda, the track continues a constant desire to explore new sounds and step outside expectations. Based in Lyon, France, the independent artist returns with a heavier rap production and an international collaboration with Slim Spitta, whose natural flow and Houston roots bring a distinct US Hip-Hop energy to the track.

 

The project is also part of X.irda’s ongoing musical evolution, with a new French rap album planned for 2027.
